DFE Abstract

For 10 weeks during his summer Directed Field Experience, Wynnjones interned for Interapt in Louisville, KY as a Sales and Marketing analyst. Interapt is a mobile app development start-up that was founded 3 years ago to provide solutions and create high tech innovative ways for businesses to reduce costs and increase revenue through devices such as ibeacon, google glass and mobile phones. He was sponsored by EPG Director, Dr. Peter Hackbert and his Academic Advisor, Dr. Wayne Tolliver. During his time, he worked for the Sales and Marketing team, where he conducted market research, contacted businesses, set up meetings and was responsible for the lead generation of the sales process. He was also the under man to his supervisor and Business development director, Aaron Rosenberg, for completing his quick tasks and logistics. This experience in the startup provided an opportunity for Wynnjones to expand his research and technology skills, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, and entrepreneurship leadership abilities. Wynnjones is from Tanzania and he is a junior business major.
