Puspa Kafley
I have four reasons as to why I joined EPG. One, learn leadership and teamwork skills. Two, learn business planning and marketing. Three, learn entrepreneurship and creativity. Four, learn about community development approaches. I would like to use this four things that I will acquire as an asset for my future work that I am planning on doing in my refugee community. Although I know that I will gain much more than those four things, therefore, I am eagerly looking forward working and learning with my cohort members.

DFE Abstract
Puspa Kafley spent eight weeks in the summer of 2018 as an intern at Entrepreneur Roundtable Accelerator (ERA), a leading tech accelerator in New York City where less than 2% of startup applicants are accepted. At ERA, Puspa specifically worked in depth with a cybersecurity startup called Threshing Floor. Threshing Floor helps enterprises identify high-risk cybersecurity threats by filtering background internet noises through correlating, aggregating, and analyzing the traffic data. As a summer intern, Puspa was heavily involved in doing both technical and non-technical work such as competitor research, finding leads, and converting traffic data into charts. As a computer science major, Puspa gained extensive experience in front-end software development and programming skills as well as in business skills. Puspa’s primary advisor was Dr. Mario Nakazawa.
