My name is Cristian Osvaldo Flores, a Mexican native raised in south Atlanta, Georgia since the age of 3. I will soon declare my Political Science major and Peace and Social Justice minor. The reason why I decided to apply to EPG was because I had heard many positive reviews from close friends who were past cohort members. They all shared the valuable and instrumental this summer program has been to their career opportunities. It is a program that accepts any discipline because it teaches the overall importance of developing an idea to solve an issue in our society, no matter what career your chose to study. I wanted to learn about social entrepreneurship and how to adapt skill sets and abilities which would develop my ideas into a solution for problems we face. A fun fact about myself is that I local activist and organizer for a union in Atlanta called Unite Here Local 23.
