David Newswanger

David Newswanger was born in Costa Rica and grew up in the town of Monteverde Costa Rica. As a kid, his interest for science and technology was sparked when his fourth grade teacher threw out her old laptop. Out of curiosity, he pulled the broken computer out of the trash and took it home and with the help of his father, fixed it. This experience helped fuel what has turned out to be a lifelong passion for science, problem solving and technology. From there, David went on to teach himself the basics of web development, and programming. Right now, he is a full time student at Berea College, where he is working in the IT department and studying computer science.
