DFE Abstract

Cameron spent twelve weeks in the summer of 2015 as an intern at Kentucky Innovation Network in Lexington, Kentucky. The Kentucky Innovation Network is a network of business leaders and mentors that encourage relationships, grow companies new and existing, and create jobs. As a Business Administration major, Cameron gained experienced assisting the Economic Development team with research projects, gathering data on businesses and starting industries in the various regions in Kentucky. This internship was designed with the support of the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good program, lead by Dr. Peter Hackbert, to aid in active learning outside of the classroom and into the career world. Cameron’s primary supervisor was Dr. Peter Hackbert and Rick Johnson was the secondary supervisor. During Cameron’s presentation, he will share his learning and growth experience related to the EPG abilities that he acquired at Kentucky Innovation Network.
