DFE Abstract

In the summer of 2019, Melanie Andrews conducted research at Berea College. She worked with digenetic trematodes, which are a type of parasite. The parasite can be found in Kentucky river animals. To find out more about the parasite, she worked with different animals such as dragonfly larvae, tadpoles, and mosquito fish. Through this research, she was able to gain skills that would help her in her future career. By using skills she obtained through EPG, she was able to make the most out of her summer experience.
