DFE Abstract
During his summer DFE, Jacob interned with MCASA in Silver Spring, MD.MCASA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help prevent sexual assault, advocate for accessible care for survivors, and to hold offenders accountable. During his internship, Jacob worked with MCASA and the Sexual Assault Legal Institute (SALI) to develop resources for service providers and the public, to advocate for trauma-informed public policy, and to assist in the implementation of trainings for stakeholders. In addition, he created and conducted evaluations for MCASA’s various services. During this experience, he was able to employ and expand skills developed during his previous work with EPG and his academic experience: such as quantitative and qualitative analysis, evaluative research, and social media marketing. Jacob is from Beckley, West Virginia. Dr. Andrea Woodward and EPG Director, Dr. Peter Hackbert sponsored him.
