SUMMARY:All-Hands meeting with special guest speaker: Adam Watson
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Berea College EPG students! Join us for an evening with special guest\, Adam Watson. \nAdam Watson is one of four founders at Against the Grain Brewery\, Founder and former President of the Kentucky Guild of Brewers\, Education Director at Canopy Certified\, occasional adjunct lecturer at UofL’s College of Business\, and renowned wizard of questionable repute.  He has taken an irresponsible educational path that makes him passably interesting in polite and not-so-polite conversation\, and is currently engaged in a lifelong experiment in subjective time dilation. \nAdam will be discussing his winding educational and professional path to his current position\, and that is\, in his opinion\, an unequivocal good.  By making unusual decisions and following his curiosity\, Adam has developed a diverse background that supports many of the lessons he teaches in classrooms\, and he hopes that by sharing these lessons\, he can encourage another generation of professionals to explore their curiosity.

SUMMARY:Cohort 22 Class Guest Speaker - Adam Watson
DESCRIPTION:In the business world it is often assumed that purpose and profit are at odds and that owners must choose between making the world a better place and making money.  Canopy’s approach to Business Beyond Profit helps dispel that myth and show that purpose driven businesses can outperform businesses with a singular focus on short-term profits.  By implementing the idea of stakeholder capitalism\, students can gain the tools needed to succeed in a modern\, interconnected economy. \nSpecial guest speaker Adam Watson is one of four founders at Against the Grain Brewery\, Founder and former President of the Kentucky Guild of Brewers\, Education Director at Canopy Certified\, occasional adjunct lecturer at UofL’s College of Business\, and renowned wizard of questionable repute.  He has taken an irresponsible educational path that makes him passably interesting in polite and not-so-polite conversation and is currently engaged in a lifelong experiment in subjective time dilation.
